It had been several years, but back into the cold Pacific I was headed. I had taken a job in Florida with a treasure salvage company and warm water had become the norm for me now. I had not visited the Pacific sites for several years, as I now lived in the Sierras near Yosemite National Park. The diving had always been dangerous and very demanding and I was now 64 and not as spunky as I used to be.I chose this occasion to bring my 19-year-old son and show him my secret spots. He was a natural in the water and, like me, loved diving. I have been diving for over 50 years and had deliberately kept him away until I felt he was accomplished enough.
