Reports of a Spanish treasure near Springfield, Missouri, have been circulating for over one hundred years. There is proof that the Spanish visited the Ozarks, but in spite of the clues, attempts to locate the cache have been futile. Now there is new information that may shed light on the mystery. Recently some cub scouts found a sandstone slab with a Spanish inscription telling of the massacre of a gold-bearing expedition.
