This chronological listing of historical events (as we know them) pertaining to possible treasure locations within the Midwest gives an idea of what could be found. The possibilities that will appeal to the researcher, historian, rockhound, prospector, relic hunter, geologist, scuba diver, coin shooter and spelunker throughout the Midwest are unlimited.

One of the oldest fossil beds in North America is located at the Falls of the Ohio, on the northern half of the river, between Louisville, Ky. and Clarksville, Ind. Geodes and fossilized marine life dating back more than 150 million years are plentiful.
