The aged man sat opposite the attorney. A stillness closed in on them until the lawyer, W. W. Bulman, said, "I'll look into the matter and, if what you told me can be proven, I believe you will have a case against these men."
With that statement an investigation was launched in 1915 that rocked the quiet town of Bedford, Iowa, and resulted in a trial for murder and robbery. The proceedings brought to light not only the charges, but the intrigue of lost gold, endless diggings for treasure on an isolated farm near the village of Siam, which became known as Klondike for its immense buried wealth, disappointed lives and sudden death, all of which created a mystery which has not been solved to this day.
