The Drunkard's Lost Ledge
Sometimes I start to worry that by the time Ive found that million dollars treasure Ill be too old to enjoy it; but then I realize Im already enjoying it!

1. No matter how many times they struck gold, most prospectors stayed poor. Almost to a man (or a woman) they were surface miners who stumbled upon a rich gold claim, picked up all the easy to carry nuggets, and then sold out for a few $1,000 to wiser, more determined men who made millions. While the new owners were gathering backers and selling stock, those who found the gold to begin with were usually getting drunk.
