Ace 250
Is the stock coil for the 250 good for ghost towns or will I need another coil?
already bought the 250 but couldn't afford the sports package but I did get the sniper coil a month ago have had the 250 since rnd of last year
Just starting out only two days into hunting with my 250. Have found some stuff still learning.
Thanks IndianGuy19 I'll work on getting a larger coil but for now won't worry about using the stock one/
Its got amazing depth for the price. The pinpoint option is a high of center for me but I've hunted a several places with much satisfaction in my machine.
However, I did upgrade to the 9x12 because I started digging fairly new clad at about 6+ inches deep on a nearby beach and wanted a little more depth. I found it on eBay for $84.xx

I'm with you this. I bought the Sports Pack and got both coils and all the other goodies. The only problem is that several of my friends said I should have gone for the 1350 right out of the gate. However, the more I read about the 250, the better I feel that I made a good pruchase. It's been 16 years since I used a metal detector, so I feel that you have to walk before you can run. (In 16 years there have been a world of improvements made!)
