I saw the show Meteorite Men on Disc. Channel for the first time yesterday and was wondering if meterorites were in AZ and how do you find out about them. What type they are if different from other places etc. The show made it sound like different areas had different types

Hey Night Stalker: There are meteorites in Arizona and everywhere else to be found and guys are finding them all the time and cashing in on them. There are different types of meteorites like Stony meteorites and Iron meteorites. They fall from the sky more often than you think. You have the best tool to find out about them, your computer. Research  Arizona meteorites. Also check out meteoritemen.com. You can find out where people are finding them and try it yourself. I do know they are hard to find and with a metal detector they show up as Iron. You might want to tie a magnet to drag behind you and maybe catch a small meteorite as they are magnetic.
