coin shooting in the Philippines

I had a great time in Philippines found a few pesos in the sand on the public beach, lots of watchers but no hassles. No great treasures but had a lot of fun, even my wife seemed to enjoy it. Next time i go i want to try the Bohol BEACH CLUB lots of European and American tourest most likley some lost jewlery.

I have metal detected on beaches and in Cebu City. I did not have any problems or issues. I even went to a WWII Japanese Hotel and found a few coins. Nothing really old yet.

My Wife is Filipina and I plan to hunt more there when I can getr there.

Yes the new laws says we Americans cannot teasure hunt for treasure, but have had no problem coinshooting.

Also note that bribery is a way of life there. If a poloiceman comes up and asks questions just slip him a few 100 Pesos and should be no problem.

I`ll know in about 2 weeks, lots of history there. Around 400 years of Spanish rule, then American rule, then Japanese occupation there. Lots of sunken ships of all kinds all over the islands. looking forward to lots of time on the beaches there.
