Best detector to Start
I'm a complete newbie to metal detecting but now live very rural and want to explore the barren landscape :-)I thought i'd post here instead of starting a new thread on the same topic - new to this forum - hope this is okay?I've no idea where to start amidst the mountain of info out there. Excuse my metal detecting ignorance! The climate is damp here- most of the time. There are many streams aswell as wetlands/fields i want to explore. Also the beaches are not too far from me so i guess a detector for various grades would be suitable if they exist? There are many banks dividing up the land...most of them are stone walls entombed in earth. I'm prepared to save up (gulp!) to invest in a good one despite being a beginner...i hate upgrading equipment all the time...i want something that really is suited to the landscape here. I go mushroom hunting alot for miles on end so to do some detecting at the same time...well, i've been lucky with the mushrooms! Any advice would be much appreciated :-)
The White's GMT and Tesoro's LST do fairly well here in the WA's mountains and streams. Haven't had any desert time with them yet. Norm
Fisher, White's, Tesoro, Garrett, Minelab, Bounty Hunter. They are all good take your choice.
