County maps - Ohio

Did you look online? Almost every county has a website nowadays. That might be a zero cost option if you want to put the time in.
What i like to do : Head to your local libary , see if they have any plat map books for your county. I find these helpful they show home sites with the owners names, mills, schools, p.o. These books [here in kansas] go back to the 1880's good hunting!
If it is just for 1 county you can email Library of Congress. Go to their website and look for "ask a librarian". Write email to them you are looking for old and new maps and topo maps for that county. They will send you all maps that they have for free. It's called complementary no charge. They usually have at least 1 large map that has to be sent in a round holder for a few dollars which you can purchase if you want it. Otherwise you can usually purchase county maps from the county engineer's office in that county.
