Finds from old homesite 2-7-2012
Can anyone tell me what the copper find is. One coin is a 1968 Cincuenta Centavos, does anyone know if it is made of silver or not. The other coin is a token. On the bottom it says Crest. Above that is some kind of coat of arms with lions on both sides. The big brass disc has Roman numerals XII---III---VI---IX. In position like a clock. Also has some punch marks. The medallion is a Texas School Solo/Ensemble Competition.
Just a guess but the disc with the Roman numerals could be a pocket watch cover. It looks like a hinge at the top. The cincuenta centavos is a copper nickel alloy according to the WEB. Great finds. Pops
Congrats on a successful day in the field. That is a very interesting collection you've found.I can't help with any identification, just wanted to tip my hat your way for some excellent finds.Good hunting.
