Hello from Florida
Hi, I'm Brad and live in sw. florida, I've been interested in metal detecting for several years now, but didn't have time to do much with it. I'm retired now and getting out there detecting once or twice a week. Great fun, have an old white's coin master 1D/B series 2, works pretty good, but looking to upgrade soon for a good alround detector. Well happy hunting and thanks for letting me join your site, really helplful.

Im S.W.florida as well. Ft Myers here. If I can be of any help dont hesitate to ask. I am new to the hobby but have some good contacts in the area that have been very helpful and with some experienced hunters i am looking forward to a lot of good dig'n! Today wasn't very productive for me but I was able to "Clean up the beach" though so that was cool. Two tent stakes, a bear can and several pull tabs made for some fun.. Was happy to find out my detector was working.. ha ha ha
Hi Brad,I've got one of the newer White's, the MXT, and like it very much -- have already found a few interesting things. It's VERY verstaile (has settings for coins and jewelry, relics and prospecting. Got a great discount at Kellyco (look it up online) great site -- good info for the beginner there too.On another note, I lived in Florida for 13 years, mostly around New Smyrna Beach, Palm Harbor, Clearwater, Tarpon Springs and Port Richey. Florida's a great place to live.
When you get your new detector get out there as much as you can and keep yourself healthy in your retirement years. Good Luck, Cliff

Thanks for the encourgement Cliff! Wish you well to! Happy hunting! Brad
