FIND REPAIR FOR GARRETT GTA1000 IN WACO AREA~AND~ NEEDING SOMEONE ALSO IN THE WACO TX AREA TO TAKE ME UNDER THEIR WING AND SHOW ME THE ROPES OF TREASURE & GEM HUNTING, GOLD PANNING AND METAL DETECTING.... ITS BEEN A FEW YRS. SINCE I FIRST GOT GARRETT AND I JUST CANT STOP HUNTING. ITS MY LOVE.... AND WOULD PROFESSIONALLY DO IT FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE BUT NEED A POSITIVE MENTOR...
Keith is in East Texas quite a ways. Your better off sending it to the Garrett factory. I live in south Texas, would be glad to help you out if I was about 350 miles closer.
Why not just send it to Garrett for repair? I just sent my old GTA 1000 in to the Garrett factory repair department in Garland, TX last summer. I think the turn around time was a little over a week. They replaced the mother board and battery pack cord among other things. They also gave me a new search coil at a 40% discount for sending it in with the old search coil.
