Sweepstakes Updates - 04/26/2010
04/26/2010 UPDATE: This will be the last attempt to 'fix' the issues that have been raised about the sweepstakes submission limits. Today forward the sweepstakes page will reset at 12:00am based on the timezone setting in your user profile. Anonymous (un-registered) users will have their entry limit reset at 12:00am CST (Central Standard Time).
Once again, just for clarification, you should login before entering the sweepstakes if you would like for your submissions to be accurately tracked. I have no control over multiple entries from identical IP addresses causing someone other than the original submitter from registering for the sweepstakes.
If you are submitting the sweepstakes from a computer (or location) that is used by more than one person submitting entries to the sweepstakes and you are not logged into the site before placing your entry, you will most likely not be able to make an entry before registering with the site and logging into your account.
04/20/10 UPDATE: Sweepstakes now rolls over at 00:00 (midnight) GMT
The sweepstakes entry limits have been changed. The sweepstakes will now allow exactly one and only one entry per person per calendar day. The new day begins at 12:00 am CST and all entry counts made previous to this will expire. There should no longer be any issue with persons being forced to wait until a specific time between entries made on different calendar days.
This has been posted in the forums several times, but for those who haven't seen it or the permanent list of winners posted on the monthly sweepstakes page:CONGRATULATIONS - Greg Donachricha of Port Allen, LA, winner of the Jeohunter 3D metal detector from Makro.* July sweepstakes answer - Three search coils
LT doesn't respond to emails. Anyone know who won July 2011 sweepstakes? The JeoHunter MD
Is a list of winners posted some where that I haven't found?
Never had a problem at any time entering.
hey how long are the specials i get when i enter the last chance i want a couple of books but the boss (wife) wants school cloths for kids go figure how long is the special for
it feels good that we have a chance to enter and no purchase needed, or three e z steps lol.credit card plz. i could not imaging with the internet at every fingers in the world running any kind of contest so many out there you have to be doing something right web master.i am not in it to win it. i use l.s. as my coffee with out the shakes ,well ok some stories give me the jitters and to think all this good stuff and a chance to win a prize. i check lost tres. before i do my email, see whats found whats lost whats hot whats not.then i see if any friends slipped through the spam to say hi.you are my spam blocker l.s. love what your doing.keep digging kids
Thank you, its nice to see a site that is so well covered. There is going to be issues when dealing with so many people, and you can't make everyone happy. As for the contest, I am just glad that I get to enter into it. I have never won, but feel it is a great opportunity. Be happy for the things you have and not for things you want. I am glad for the opportunity, and thank God and this great country that I am allowed to enter into the contest. Good luck everyone and please keep up the great work Webmaster.
when i win you will notify me i hope.i like what you have done keep up good work
NICE...
: )
It totally amazes me to read some of the posts here about the contest. I have seen many crying about not being able to enter when they want to, to a member wanting someone to basically give him a SEF COIL for a $200.00 detector stating he's on a fixed income, yet I read where he boasts about buying other related items. That's like putting Corvette wheels on a Volkswagon. I'm sure the bulk of the whiners don't even actually subscribe to the magazine. If the whiners spent more time hunting instead of crying and begging on the forum it is quite possible you wouldn't have to do either and would be able to afford to buy a new detector. I have been hunting for over 30 years and very seldom post on the forums, hence by doing so I can hunt when I feel like hunting, not pounding the keyboard showing my remedial side. For those of you that don't agree with what I have stated above, be sure to check the up coming issue of Western and Eastern treasure magazine as I had quite a few stellar finds. Front cover and feature article worthy so they tell me there. Plus I paid for my White's V-3 w/SEF 18X15 COIL, and Minelab Excaliber II without asking for a handout and not winning one in a contest. Lost Treasure Magazine and Western and Eastern treasure magazine are top notch. You probably ask yourself why I sold the story to the other guys? Simple, there was more money offered, but that doesn't mean that I don't subscribe to both magazines because I do.
great job i have no problems thanks for the chance to win
Webmaster, Sorry to bother you. But, it's been 2 days and it still tells me I cant enter contest at this time???? Thanks PAM
Congratulations!
This should level the playing field and eliminate the complaining.
Of course there will still be the ones who discover the whole world is not on CST. I think they will eventually figure it out.
Cool! Thanks for all you do!
Kevin
