2011 is my fourth year with the original T2 and have to say I made the right decision when purchasing this machine.  I did a lot of research when contemplating the purchase as laying out over $800.00 for a hobby is a lot. I have recovered over 12,000 coins and numerous jewelry pieces and other "keepers" with it and the face value of the coins have more than paid for the machine. The detector is light and ergonomical and can be swung for hours on end. I'm not a salesman or affiliated with the manufacturer, just a regular Joe that enjoys the hobby and very pleased with the detector. The best piece of advice I can give no matter what detector you own is to learn what it is telling you. With experience you can usually tell what the target is as well as when something is acting strange with your detector.
