On Tuesday I went out for a few hours and managed to find a few coins but the best one being the last one of the day. I thought it was a corroded clad half or silver dollar but after bringing it home and with some cleaning it turned out to be an 1897 Tennessee Commemorative Exposition coin. After a little research it list as an R4 rarity and so for the hunters just beginning or the seasoned hunter you just never know what you will find!

Outstanding

Finding a coin like that in Oklahoma makes it even more interesting.  It definitely has some history.I should have checked your profile, I didn't realize you were an Okie, too.I've hunted near Pawhuska once but mostly central and western Oklahoma.Good luck and good hunting.

Sweet find, El Te.  Way to go.  What area of TN were you hunting, or was it even in TN??
