I am new to this , but look foreword to playing with my children at treasure hunting. Does anybody have anything positive or negative about this unit as a beginner unit?

The best advice I could give
The best advice I could give you is get the best detector you can afford. Learn to use your detector to the best of your ability. It doesn't really matter what detector you have as long as you know how to use it. Good luck.
