The Grand Lake area in Oklahoma, where the Lost Treasure offices are, got slammed with a tornado Sunday night and we were without power, then Internet access until Tuesday afternoon. Thank goodness we are all fine and our building and homes are undamaged. Others, tragically, were not nearly so lucky. I actually saw the tornado after it passed - it went by my house six to eight blocks away. Very, very scary...and loud!  Photos courtesy of www.360grandlake.com and www.grandlakeonline.com

I live about 35 miles

I live about 35 miles southwest of ST. Louis, MO and we have had 4 tornadoes within 5 miles of our house this year. Scary is not the word for it. We have been lucky, but unfortunenataly others have not. My cousins house got hit by the tornado that hit St. Louis airport in the spring. fortuneatly it only damaged his roof and no one was hurt.

Tornado

Living in Oklahoma myself, I know what you mean when you said they are scary. That could even be an understatement. I survived the infamous F5 tornado on May 3rd 1999. That thing same ripping and screaming through the apt. complex where I lived at the time. Wind speeds were actually in excess of 300mph. Scary+ + +  Sure am happy though that everyone there is ok. You know that our "second tornado season" in October is predicted to be bad this year, because of the extreme heat we are having. Stay safe and keep alert!Chesterreno
