Yeah except it's on a military base, that probably wouldn't go over well. I was just picking up some discarded trash. The mine would have been a nice find though.

small piece of history

Maybe not the most valuable but a very interesting find to me came while investigating and old Indian silver mine located slap dab in the middle of Fort Leonard Wood Army base.

After a half hearted search for the mine i stopped as a few deer jumped and scattered from me, I noticed that the leaves I was standing in didn't feel right under my feet. A closer inspection revealed a few jars, cologne and coke bottle, and broken coffee mug that read something about the signal corp. The dates on the mug and coke bottle were '43. Pretty neat find. Although it's hardly valuable, I must have stumbled upon a bivouac area for training soldier's during that time period.
