Hidden riches. The very words raise eyebrows. The blood moves faster through the veins. When the possibility of finding cached wealth presents itself, the heart races. Dreams of recovering large, difficult stashes have kept many poor souls awake at nights. Scarcely literate people scarcely struggle through books and pour over maps, endeavoring to pinpoint a lead. Those with slothful inclinations clamber vigorously up steep inclines, cross dangerous chasms, and go whenever and wherever the call of lost treasure beackons. To most of the world hidden riches are only dreams, if thought of at all. Few people actually believe in treasure. In the eye of the “average” person a treasure is at best only a part of some fictional book or movie, nothing to even think about once the TV set is turned off or the book is closed. How little they know! No part of our world is without its treasures. There are three basic kinds of hidden riches. There is the kind that nature provides. There are treasures, small and large, that have been lost over the years and centuries anywhere and everywhere people have ever lived. There are treasures that have deliberately been hidden away, caches, if you prefer.
