You seem to hear me. This surprises me, for few ever seem to hear my feeble whispers. Do not be afraid. I whisper only of the past, of times and deeds long gone by. I faintly tell the tales of riches lost and hidden throughout the vastness that is Idaho. It is up to you to act or not upon the tales I whisper. Who am I? It seems that I should know, but time has blurred the meaning of your question. No name can I give, and I can only weakly whisper of the gold and other wealth men once wrenched from the high mountains and deep canyons of Idaho. It seems to be my fate that I relate these deeds, in whispers fainter than a breeze. Beware, Idaho’s gold was often gained with blood, stolen from those who gathered it with sweat. The quest for wealth was too often generated by greed, envy, fear, hatred, and deceit. Many treasures throughout Idaho are marked only by evil events, and perhaps can only be found and recovered by those who try to use such wealth wisely and well. I hope that you are such a one. If so, listen well to my faintest whispers. Should you seek one or another of the troves of which I speak, stand in some high place and listen well. I may try to speak to you around the corners of a breeze. Perhaps I can whisper through the rocks and pines, and tell you more, should you prove worthy.
