How does one introduce a book on hunting the Colorado ghost towns? Hunting for such places is hard enough. Hunting in ghost towns for odds and ends", lost coins, momentous of the past may even be harder. I have long felt the interest in and need for such a book. This effort is in no way meant to compete with Muriel Wolle's fabulous book, STAMPEDE TO TIMBERLINE. It cannot! I can express my regret for never getting to talk with that lovely person, before she died early in this year of 1977. The mention of Perry Eberhart's GUIDE TO COLORADO GHOST TOWNS and Robert Brown's excellent books must also be made. This book is something else, hopefully a useful book to those truly interested in our Colorado ghost towns. If it is helpful, if it does answer some of the questions ghost town seekers generate, and create even more questions, so you will do some basic research on your own, I will feel rewarded.
