Much of the wealth of the Confederate States was buried before the surrender at Appomatox. The question that has intrigued historians (and treasure hunters) ever since is whether all of this buried wealth has been recovered.

It hasntif a former captain of the Confederate Army is to be believed. According to him, several golden caches may still be buried along the railroad right-of-way near McLeansville, North Carolina, and there is evidence to support his contention.
