NEW POWERFUL UNDERWATER LIGHT FROM J.W. FISHERS
J.W. Fishers Mfg. are now offering their popular DHL-1 underwater light system with 250 watt lights giving the system a total light output of 500 watts. This surface powered underwater light can operate for an unlimited amount of time providing high intensity lighting for a variety of underwater operations. The DHL-1 is in use by numerous commercial diving operators for hull, dam, and bridge inspections. Recently a company in Norway purchased two of these light systems for night har-vesting of sea urchins.Fishers employs a unique method: of cooling their underwater lights. Water is allowed to circulate around the bulbs providing many, many hours of operation before bulbs require replacement. The DHL-1 is powered by 120 volts ac from the surface with either a small generator or 12 volt batteries and an inverter. The system features a built-in ground fault protection circuit.
The DHL-1 is ruggedly constructed of corrosion proof urethane and is depth rated to 1000 feet. An abrasive resistant jacketed cable connects the light to the surface power supply. The DHL-1 has s!ight!y negative buoyancy and weighs only 6 ounces in water. The complete system is covered by a two year warranty and has a base price of $695.
